Yr Editor Sucks! But, Issue #2 is Finally Here.
Hello My Curious Nothings,
I know, I know. It’s been a hot minute. Time, that elusive bastard, has once again conspired against me, along with all the rolling punches. But hey, what can you expect from a publication dedicated to the uncertain and nothingness? After all, nothing is certain, not even the certainty of uncertainty, not even this fucking mag/zine/book thang.
The truth is, life happens, and this whole situation is still essentially a solo project curated, edited, and painstakingly produced by yrs truly. I could have promised you a timely release (shit, wait...I did!).
In any case, I offer you a whole-hearted beg-pardon. In addition to the self-deprecating and graveling, here’s a whole lot of cool shit from the incredible poets, artists, musicians, storytellers, clever weirdos, and envelope pushers I’ve come to know from all over with hopes to make you forget how long you’ve been waiting and to stimulate yr brain in sensational ways.
Some folks I sought out personally. Others boldly submitted without ever hearing of (the) CN before, putting themselves out there on the chopping block like head cheese (ew!). This eclectic collection is a work of art in and of itself, and I do declare...I’m pretty damn proud. YOU’RE WELCOME.
So, dive in. Get lost in the pages. And remember, the only constant shit in life is death, taxes, inevitable change, and uncertainty certainly reigns. And, apparently, so do epic delays. Fuck it. Might as well get over it, enjoy the ride, and appreciate what does, in fact, end up coming to fruition.
Until next time [whenever that may be],
Denise “Nisi” Summers, Yr Editor-in-Chief
