OPHELIA, LEAVES, SON & SILK

ophelia, leaves, son & silk
chlorine dreams
the mad stifled witness
we are reaching for death
on the end of a candle
we are trying for something
thats already found us
last words, out.
***
This place is damp & ghostly
I am already gone
And the halls were lined with the disembodied
And dustly wings, which fell from flesh
Gasplessly.
And I go where the trees go
And I walk from a higher education
For now, and for hire.
It beats me but I do not know

I do not know.
Palaces and storm clouds,
The rough & the straggly sage & the smoke
And the way it will come together
In quietness, and in time
***
Long days of wanting you
living in fear
shedding a tear for you
Long nights of pasty face tunes
echo in rooms
filling with gloom for me

A HEART THATS FULL UP LIKE A LANDFILL

a heart thats full up like a landfill,
a job that slowly kills you,
bruises that dont heal.
you look so tired and unhappy,
with such a pretty house,
such a pretty garden
I’ll take a quiet life;
a handshake of carbon monoxide,
no alarms and no surprises
transport, highways & subways,
starting & then stopping,
the emptiest of feelings,
sentimental drivel,
desperate people clinging onto bottles;
one day I am going to grow wings,
a chemical reaction
hysterical and useless.
the floor collapses
floating, bouncing back
and one day you’ll know where you are
but when it comes its so, so disappointing.

ONE MORE LITTLE ONE

One more little one
I’ll go down, stay down
Sleep the rest of the day
Dream new music to calm down
Stay down & keep evil away
I can hear you asleep
Changing your shape
Dissolved in some dream
As a new one appears
To take you away, where you've never been
The moonlight tonight seems to belong to me
Cause even though some cant sleep
They need the company
One hit wouldnt hurt a bit
Slow down sleep
Whats there to fight?
If its good shit you wont know
And I wont know the fact that I’m dying
If I seem to be reckless with myself
Its the fault of no one
All things have a place
Under the moon as well as the sun
One more little one
I love you
