COLORED SUNS

Ink swells from nature’s springs,

Forewarn man’s contemplation brings.

Inspiration swallows le toit du monde,

Sowed a seed to become mountain strokes.

Beyond the clouds on our heads we stand,

While our faces lay deeply plastered in our lands.

Where earth meets sky and mist sees ocean,

Voice the embers of wisdom and compassion.

When words carve into these colored sands,

The grains of stories flow through my hands.

Pour them down the peaks of my enlightened mind,

And write the ridges of sand mandalas weighing our times.
