Last week was big for new releases, especially for some of the contributors of (the) curious nothing. Harry Katz & The Pistachios - Starving

Harry Katz & The Pistachios combine Harry’s uniquely raspy voice with raw and powerful Rock and Roll.The ten members that make up The Pistachios command every stage they are on. While the band plays a set of unrelentingly up tempo numbers to shake and groove to, Harry’s lyrics dig up a darker inner world right beneath the surface.

The full length album, SCARED OF ROMANCE, came out in 2022 and can be found in full-length on Spotify. Since then, they’ve performed in numerous venues across Los Angeles, including Jam in the Band. Harry & their posse of a band will be at the Silverlake Lounge Thursday, February 29th to premier the new single live!

Beaux Gris Gris & The Apocalypse - Satisfy Your Queen

Beaux Gris Gris & The Apocalypse (pronounced \bo\ \gree-gree\ ) is a California-based roots rock (blending Blues Rock Americana, Country, and Soul) band created and led by Louisiana-born-and-raised musician Greta Valenti (Well Hung Heart) and UK British Blues Hall of Fame Inductee, Robin Davey (The Hoax, DVL, Well Hung Heart).

Many talented musicians from around the world make up The Apocalypse. Nothing, Who Cares? - DETH SLEEP

Nothing, Who Cares? comes from a place Hunter S. Thompson once describe as "a cruel, crazy town on a filthy river in East Texas with no zoning laws and a culture of sex, money, and violence." Houston is known for its gritty, hustle-fueled, cultural melting pot, which has strongly influenced the band's identity and attitude.

The lyrics focus on depression, mania, and other mental health issues with the goal of helping people with their struggles. The music is influenced by the energy and ferocity of punk rock, the speed of thrash metal, the melodies and the catchiness of grunge- all of that with a Texas twist.

Fresh off the press, Nothing, Who Cares? just released their second single, DETH SLEEP. It’s exactly what you need if you’re looking to blow off a little steam, or a lot of fucking rage. Or, if you just enjoy some good fucking rock-n-roll.
